Ray POV:
It was nearing the 25th of December. Time flies. I am totally going to see Kennedy. We are going to the ski place today. I was packing my bags in my room when somebody knocked on the door.
Ray: “It’s not locked.” I looked back and saw Scott came in.
Scott: “Hey bro.”
Ray: “Heyyy.”
Scott: “You seem happy.” He sat down on my bed.”
Ray: “Oh really?” He nodded.
Scott: “You look extremely happy. You’re going to see that girl right?”
Ray: “I have to.”
Scott: “Why?”
Ray: “I...don’t know.” Suddenly Mom shouts from downstairs.
Mom: “Kids, downstairs now! We are going!”
Ray: “Okay mom!” I shouted back.
Scott: “Zip your suitcase now and let’s go before she gets angry.”
Ray: “Okaaay Scott. You get out first.”
Scott: “Fine then.” He marched outside my room and ran downstairs.
I finished packing my bags and I walked downstairs. Mom, Dad, and Scott are waiting and I’m going to meet Kennedy in just the count of days. I was so excited.
Kennedy POV:
I was sitting in the room thinking about.....things. Suddenly my phone rang and I saw the caller ID. It was Dianne.
Kennedy: “Heeeeyyy.”
Dianne: “Kennedy!!! I miss you sooo much!”
Kennedy: “Me tooooo. Tell me what happened back in school.”
Dianne: “Charli’s dating Matt Flint.”
Kennedy: “No way. The quarterback? How did they get together?”
Dianne: “Yes. Matt helped Charli when she ran on the field and then fell on a punishment from Mr. Harrison and Matt was having a football practice and then they hangout and things got better and there you go.”
Kennedy: “Wow that’s awesome. Oh yeah and I heard you broke up with Mark.”
Dianne: “Yeah... I just can’t stand the distance. I need to see people in person.”
Kennedy: “Well you’re calling me.”
Dianne: “That’s different. You are always around no matter how far you go.”
Kennedy: “Awww thanks. And um...you are dating...Ray?”
Dianne: “Sorta like that. But well I...broke up with him a few days ago.” I sighed a little.
Kennedy: “Really? Why?”
Dianne: “Ray said that he miss you. I said it was okay because you are my friend and I know you have a major crush on him.”
Kennedy: “Well....I don’t know that.”
Dianne: “Don’t deny me haha. Oh but I heard you have a boyfriend right?”
Kennedy: “Yeah. How did you know?”
Dianne: “Mark. We decided to still be friends.”
Kennedy: “That’s great! Maybe you will get back together with him.”
Dianne: “Well...I don’t know. He’s so far away. You are far away.”
Kennedy: “Yeah... It’s hurts right.”
Dianne: “Mhm. Oh well I gotta go. Talk to you later?”
Kennedy: “Sure. You’re welcome anytime.”
Dianne: “Thanks Kennedy! Bye.”
Kennedy: “Bye.”
I closed my phone and sighed. I guess he really likes me. I looked out the window. It started to snow. It looks beautiful. I smiled a little when I saw this. I feel like dancing now.
-------------
It’s Christmas already. I’m kinda excited because my aunt and uncle will take me to the Broadway show. It was a special show today. About..... I don’t know. I don’t really understand it actually. It’s too childish. Well yes it is christmas special and I am 16 so I don’t really understand the show that kids in the age of 10 below watch. We came out and then zoom to the mall. It was awesome. I love this christmas.
Ray POV:
It’s Christmas already. I wear my jacket and stepped outside of my room. I was in a room with Scott, but he was downstairs already. I quickly ran downstairs and caught Scott hit on some girl. I rolled my eyes while I walk towards him.
Ray: “Scott come on let’s ski.”
Scott: “Aw Ray don’t break the fun.” The girl giggled a little. I rolled my eyes again.
Ray: “Okay then. So your biggest secret is really going to be revealed.” He stands up to me.
Scott: “Okay okay let’s go.” We walked outside.
That was the best weapon that I have. What’s the secret? He loves to wear boxers with the pictures of teletubbies. He’s weird huh? I don’t even know where he bought it. It’s more than enough to wear each day.
We walked outside and I felt the snow. It was cold, but I loved it. It makes me rather warm somehow. I looked up to the sky. I don’t know what happened, but suddenly I remembered the night I kissed Kennedy. I really miss her.
---------
New year is near. I am now in New York looking down from the hotel I’m staying while my parents and Scott looks for food. I am not in the mood to go away so I sat down on the chair and clicked on the TV. It took time to realize that I was sleeping for the time. When I woke up, there was food everywhere in the table. Awesome. I thanked Mom, Dad, and Scott for the food and dug in the big pile of food.
---------
Kennedy POV:
I was on the shower when my phone rang. I quickly ran from the bathroom and answer it.
Kennedy: “Hi. Kennedy speaking.”
Allison: “Kennedy!! It’s Allison! Are you going to the dance tonight?” I tipped my head.
Kennedy: “Eh....what dance?”
Allison: “The New Year dance party. Duh.” I snapped my fingers and started pacing back and forth on my bed.
Kennedy: “Oh yeah that dance. Um...I don’t know. I actually forgot about it, so I don’t have a dress.”
Allison: “Seriously? Oh come on let’s go now to the mall. Ellie is going too.” I quickly jumped.
Kennedy: “But-“
Allison: “No buts. Let’s go. I’ll come by your apartment at 10.” I sighed.
Kennedy: “Fine. But I’m paying.”
Allison: “No way. I’ll pay. We are going on a serious dance shopping.” I sighed again.
Kennedy: “Fine then. I’ll get dressed.”
Allison: “Awesome! Byeee.”
Kennedy: “Bye Allison.”
I dropped myself to bed and facepalmed. Allison is a rich girl so she doesn’t bother buying me things. But I don’t really like it. Sometimes I wanna buy things on my own. I got out of bed and found a good long sleeve shirt, dark black skinny jeans, a black jacket, blue gloves and a pair moccasin.
I looked at the clock. It’s nine already. So I walked to the kitchen to get some food. Mark was on the living room watching TV.
Mark: “Dressed nice. Where are you going?” I took out cereal and milk from the fridge.
Kennedy: “Shopping.” I picked out a bowl.
Mark: “Wow have some money do you?” I shook my head and poured the milk on the bowl. Mark grinned widely.
Kennedy: “Yes.” I lied as I shook the cereal out of the box. Mark jumped off the couch and shook his head as he laughed lightly.
Mark: “You’re drinking cold milk on winter?” I put back the milk and cereal on the fridge.
Kennedy: “So?”
Mark: “Not gonna be cold?”
Kennedy: “I’m fine.” I sat on the stool and started to eat the cereal.
Mark: “Well enjoy the cold.” I didn’t mind him and he sat back on the couch.
Suddenly the bell rang and I opened it. It was Allison and Ellie.
Kennedy: “Hey guysss!!” I hugged them lightly.
Ellie: “Hey Kennedy. Ready for shopping?” I nodded.
Allison: “Let’s go!!!”
------------
I arrived at the mall. It was full. Literally full. We make our way to the crowded place and found one shop that sells many kinds of dresses. I smiled as we got inside. Ellie ran to a green dress.
Ellie: “OMG. This is cuteeee.”
Kennedy: “That’ll look nice on you Ellie.”
Allison: “I agree.”
Ellie: “Really?” Me and Allison nodded lightly. “Okay then I’ll buy this one!”
Ellie is a superfast picker. But when she picks one, she usually doesn’t change her mind. What a girl. I can’t even choose between the dresses on the shop. I tried some on, but it just not really good. Allison then came and picked a pale pink dress that came to my knees.
Kennedy: “That dress will fit you perfectly Allison.” I smiled to her.
Allison: “What? Oh no no it’s for you girl.” She shoved me the dress.
Kennedy: “Um....” I put out a confused look.
Allison: “I have my own dress at home. So try it.” I nodded slightly and got into the dressing room.
I got out the dressing room slowly and twirled a little in front of my friends. Ellie dropped her jaw.
Allison: “You look really beautiful Kennedy!”
Ellie: “Like...WOW.” I smirked.
Kennedy: “Thanks guys. So should I buy this?”
Allison&Ellie: “YEAAAHH!!”
Kennedy: “I’ll go get changed.”
I got outside and Allison paid for the dress. We got out of the shop and searched for a shoe store. We found one and picked out a matching shoes for the dress. Then we got home. I can’t wait for the dance.
------------
Ray POV:
I walked out of my room and looked at a poster that mom was holding on to Scott.
Ray: “What are you holding Mom?” Scott shrugged.
Scott: “It’s a poster for some stupid dance.” Mom glared at him.
Mom: “Dances aren’t stupid. It’s on a local school and it’ll be great if you both come there.”
Ray: “Wait..... We are invited?” She nodded.
Mom: “Yes. Will you come?”
Ray: “I don’t know Mom.” I shrugged.
Mom: “I’ve bought a tux for you.” She pulled out a black tux from the couch.
Ray: “Well....”
Mom: “Come on dear.”
Ray: “Oh well then.”
Scott: “I don’t believe you’re giving in.”
Ray: “Well I think it’s okay.”
Scott: “I’m still not going.” He crossed his arms.
Mom: “Then you are going ice skating with me and Dad.”
Scott: “What? Mom I can’t ice skate!” He chased Mom that is going inside her room.
I looked at the poster and then the tux. I smiled a little. This could be fun. Maybe I’ll meet Kennedy there. Who knows. I thought.
