No More Dreams (7)

Kennedy POV:

I woke up. It was Saturday already. It was time I should be gone from here. I packed my suitcase quickly, then ran downstairs. My sisters is already there.

Kristy: “Slow down Mrs. Flash. Don’t get the meal ruined.
Kennedy: “Oh sure.”
Karla: “You’re still pissed about going to New York huh?”
Kennedy: “Well what do you think? You’re staying here.”
Kristy: “Oh don’t get it wrong. I’m going to college.”
Karla: “And I got a job out of town. Soon this house will be empty and we can’t leave you alone.”
Kennedy: “Why?”
Karla: “Nobody will be here and there will be no food.”
Kennedy: “That’s okay for me. I can work for myself.”
Kristy: “Yeah right. You selling lemonade will be a pretty much laugh.” I was pissed with her.
Kennedy: “Hmph. Okay then. I am leaving. At least away from Kristy.”
Kristy: “Thank God.”
Karla: “Guys please don’t fight.” She tried to separate us.
Kennedy: “I will be leaving anyway Karla.”

I took my suitcase, ran outside, and sat by the grass. Suddenly, a car came by the house gates. It was Mark and Aunt Susan.

Mark: “Hey Kennedy!”
Kennedy: “Hey Mark. Hey Aunt Susan.”
Aunt Susan: “You look bad. Are you okay?”
Kennedy: “I’m fine Aunt.” I tried to smile a little.
Aunt Susan: “Well then, let’s go now.”
Mark: “Yeah I’ll help you with that.” He grabbed my suitcase and carried it to the car.
Kennedy: “Well uh...okay.” I stepped into the car and sat at the back. Mark was driving.

The trip to the airport wasn’t quite nice. We all only talked a little. I was still thinking about my life in New York. What would it be. Will there be a boy like Ray, or friends like Charli, Dianne, and Fallon? I have no idea. But I will miss them. I will miss school. I will miss Los Angeles so badly.

We arrived at the airport. Mark helped me with the suitcase again. I took the suitcase and walked to the gates. Aunt Susan was still working on the tickets. Me and Mark sat down on the seats.

Mark: “So why are you so sad?”
Kennedy: “Long story.”
Mark: “Is it Ray?”
Kennedy: “Who told you about him?”
Mark: “Dianne of course.”
Kennedy: “Hmph. But I’m not in a relationship with him.”
Mark: “But I know you like him.”
Kennedy: “I don’t know Mark.”
Mark: “When you love somebody, you think about him all the time. Do you?”
Kennedy: “Well not all the time, but sometimes....yes.”
Mark: “HA. You like him.”
Kennedy: “So?!”
Mark: “Nah I’m fine.”
Kennedy: “Urgh youuuu.”

Then somebody came. Bringing chocolates and flower as if it was valentine’s day. But it was 2 chocolate bar and a tulip. It was Ray.

Ray: “Hey Kennedy.”
Kennedy: “Hi.”
Ray: “Look I’m sorry for yesterday I didn’t mean it.”
Kennedy: “You don’t need to take it back.”
Ray: “Um well yeah. Oh and this is for you.” He handed me the bars and the tulip.
Kennedy: “This is not valentine.”
Ray: “I think I can make up a new occasion in the autumn.”
Kennedy: “No you can’t unless you have a license to do that.”
Ray: “I can do whatever I can.” I giggled a little.

Ray POV:

Kennedy: “So what brings you here?”
Ray: “You of course. You are not leaving without a goodbye to me.”
Kennedy: “But actually I can do whatever I can.” I shook my head gently.
Ray: “Heheheh. Actually, there’s something that I wanna say to you.”
Kennedy: “What is it?”
I love you.
Ray: “Uhhh... Have a..uh safe flight!” She put up that confused look on her face.
Kennedy: “Very funny Ray.”
Ray: “Well that is not what I’m gonna say.” I got up a little bit serious.
Kennedy: “So what are you gonna say then?”
Ray: “I—“
Speaker: “GATE D5 IS OPEN. PASSENGERS PLEASE GET INSIDE THE PLANE. THE PLANE IS ABOUT TO LEAVE IN 15 MINUTES. THANK YOU.” It interups me.
Kennedy: “I guess I gotta go Ray.”
Ray: “Yeah...yeah.”
Kennedy: “I hope we’ll meet again Ray.” She started to walk away.

I ran up to her and hugged her tightly. I don’t want to let her go. I wanted her to stay. We only have small time together. I just wanna be next to her always. I’m going to miss her very much. I never felt love like this before.

I looked down and walk away.

Kennedy POV:

He ran to me and hugged me tightly. I don’t want to go. I want to stay to be with him. We don’t have much time together. I wanna be next to him always. I’m going to miss him very much. I never felt love like this before.

He looked down and walked away. I saw him. He looked really sad. At that moment I know somebody cared for me. I know Ray cares for me. He just didn’t tell me.

I stepped inside the plane and sat down by the window besides Aunt Susan. I looked down the window. The plane started to fly up to the sky.

Goodbye Ray, I’ll miss you.

Ray POV:

I looked up to the plane that flies to the sky.

Goodbye Kennedy, I’ll miss you.
